A very fine and 10 cm raised bed of 60cm with is good for nursery sowing. Mix top portion of soil with 1:1:1 ratio of manure, sand and leaf manure for good root growth. Sow the seeds on the bed and cover these with manure mixture lightly. Irrigate cloth-covered bed with hand sprinkler two time a day. Remove cloth sheet after germination. Transplant seedling, when 5-7 cm tall on well prepared, manured and fertilized (g0g P205 in 10 sqm) plot and irrigate immediately.

Two important thing to remember while sowing are temperature and time of the year. Temperature should be around 200C and most of the flowers take 100 days from sowing to flowering. If sowing medium is pete moss, then we suggest 75% sphagnum peat moss and 25% propagating sand. Mix and moisten media before sowing. For direct sowing of annuals, sow the seeds in straight line across the bed about a hue’s width apart. Thin out the lines to the desired density. In the next bed, move the lines to another line of direction.
